Are you or someone you know interested in learning about the Catholic faith?
Perhaps you are married to a Catholic and wish to learn more about the beliefs of your spouse.
You might be a Catholic and have never been confirmed.
Do you want a refresher course on the basics of the Catholic Church?
Have you been away from the Church for a while?
If any of these apply to you, please consider attending the RCIA inquiry session which will be held on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. At St. Mary, Church of the Assumption we are eager to meet you and your family and to introduce you to the Catholic faith, a faith full of rich history and sacred traditions.
RCIA is a process through which adults, Catholic or non-Catholic, are introduced to the Catholic faith and way of life. It is a journey of instruction, reflection and prayer. If you are interested in learning more about the Catholic faith, please join us for a casual and ongoing discussion. No registration is required. Feel free to give us a call or email us using the form below if you have questions or just show up. The adult initiation process, is a process of prayer, reflection, and learning that allows for the continual discernment of God's will in our lives.
No matter where you are on your faith journey, there is a place for you at St. Mary's. Come learn more about the RCIA process and how you or someone you know can prepare to be fully initiated into the Catholic Church through the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist. Our program begins in late August and continues through Pentecost. We meet Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm in the parish conference room in Assumption House.
We use Liguori's Journey of Faith as the basic text for our RCIA program.
